RDW Solution: As-Is Reporting Following Re-Classification
Yómarí offers a custom consulting solution package that allows you to do RDW reporting based on "As-Is" hierarchy following a re-classification of merchandise hierarchy or the organization hierarchy.
Out-of-the-box RDW application from Oracle Retail only supports "As-Was" reporting. So when a SKU moves from Subclass to another, or when a Store moves from one District to another, the base RDW version will not allow you to roll-up historical data as per the new hierarchy - virtually making history data no longer comparable for analytical purposes.
Our solution will help you get over this functional limitation by customizing RDW such that it provides AS-IS reporting. Our solution stops the generation of internal surrogate keys in the RETL processing libraries when there is a re-classification, and provides scripts that can re-aggregate tables to re-state history data based on the new hierarchy.
